16^th March 2023: Mr. Henry Wai’s meeting with the delegation led by the Department of Commerce of Shaanxi Province at the Law Society of Hong Kong
On 16th March 2023, Mr. Henry Wai, as Vice-Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs of the Law Society of Hong Kong, met with the delegation led by the Department of Commerce of Shaanxi Province consisting of senior government officials of Shaanxi Province as well as outstanding lawyers from divers provinces and cities in Mainland China, including Shaanxi Province, Nanjing City, Hunan Province, Changsha City, Qiqihar City, Hebei Province, Yancheng City, Yueyang City, Guangxi Province, Sichuan Province and Ningxia. The topics discussed included (1) the strengthening of communication and collaboration between Mainland and Hong Kong lawyers, (2) further fostering the coordination of legal services between Mainland and Hong Kong law firms, and (3) assisting Shaanxi enterprises to better comprehend the advantages of Hong Kong’s legal business climate. The focal points of the discussions, included, amongst other things:- the latest developments in respect of the Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Civil and Commercial Judgments between Hong Kong and the Mainland the services that can be provided by Hong Kong lawyers in the Great Bay Area and their advantages The lively discussions went well past the hour mark and came to a close with the exchanging of mementos with our distinguished visitors.
